OpuSpiritum Ensemble is a chamber music group founded in January 2017, made up of young professional musicians who want to promote their work in a chamber music context, having a double wind quintet as their basis: two transverse flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons and two horns. Based in the city of Coimbra, the OpuSpiritum Ensemble has musicians from several cities in the Center Region of the country, namely Coimbra, Ourém, Gouveia, Pombal and Aveiro. The group arises due to the almost non-existence of this type of formation in our country, making it possible to explore the existing repertoire and take advantage of new creations by contemporary composers for the aforementioned formation. Despite this being its basic formation, the OpuSpiritum Ensemble can expand to broader formations, performing with soloists or even with other types of combinations of wind instruments, strings and/or percussion. The OpuSpiritum Ensemble also aims to explore various styles of music, adapting it to different types of events and pleasing the most diverse audiences. In its short existence, the OpuSpiritum Ensemble held concerts at the Loucomotiva Theater and at the São Tomás Hall, in Coimbra, at the Levada Cultural Complex, in Tomar, at the Old Town Hall of Ourém, at the Auditorium of the Monastery of Batalha, at the Vianna Auditorium da Motta, Lisbon, among others. In 2021, the OpuSpiritum Ensemble released its first CD entitled Le Vent Françai(x)s from music.
